Long before Katrina Howarth Boutique opened in Galveston, Martha's Vineyard was one of the places that helped shape my creative journey. It was one of the first destinations I explored after moving to the United States, and it quickly became a place of inspiration, wonder, and possibility.
During my visits to the island, I began carrying sketchbooks and journals, recording my travels through illustrations and handwritten notes. Looking back, those early travel journals became the foundation for the artistic storytelling that would later define my career as an artist, illustrator, and boutique owner. In many ways, Martha's Vineyard was a stepping stone to where I am today.
The Martha's Vineyard Charm Collection celebrates the memories, beauty, and inspiration I found there. Featuring hand-drawn illustrations of island icons including a lighthouse, gingerbread cottage, sailboats, carousel horse, seashells, hydrangeas, bows, and seaside treasures, each piece was designed to capture the feeling of a place that has remained close to my heart for many years.
If you've discovered my boutique through the Galveston Charm Collection, you'll recognize the same signature charm style that became one of my most-loved and widely shared designs. While Martha's Vineyard is known for its classic New England coastal palette, I chose to interpret the island through my own artistic lens, using the soft blush pink tones that have become synonymous with the Katrina Howarth brand. It may not be what you would traditionally expect from an East Coast destination, but it is unmistakably my style—romantic, feminine, whimsical, and filled with joy.
After seeing the response to the Galveston Charm design, I was thrilled to create a Martha's Vineyard edition. Bringing together two places that have played meaningful roles in my life felt like a natural next chapter in the collection.
